Business Challenge:

At the heart of the brief was a clear goal: create a dairy brand that felt firmly and proudly Cornish.

Despite the challenges of milk supply (particularly organic and speciality milk) the dairy category is experiencing a renaissance in the UK. As a result the chilled aisle can be crowded, with branded dairy leaning towards ultra-premium and own label aiming for everyday value - leaving little space for a brand that feels both high-quality and widely accessible.

Cornish Dairy Co. had ambitious growth plans, aiming to expand nationally while staying true to its Cornish roots. To achieve this, the brand needed a clear identity that would stand out on shelf, communicate quality instantly and resonate with consumers beyond Cornwall.

The new brand also had to work across an ever-growing product range, from clotted cream and butter to barista milk and yoghurt, while building strong recognition to support a three-year plan to double branded sales.

Creative Solution:

Guided by our ‘Proudly Cornish, Proper Moreish’ north star, the identity and packaging champions the care, heritage and deliciousness that define great dairy.

A new brandmark brings warmth, personality and strong shelf presence, while a distinctive cow rosette acts as a proud marker of quality, celebrating the craft and care behind every product.

Joyful colours, textures and improved visual cues create a vibrant brand world that feels welcoming, premium and unmistakably Cornish, with a tone of voice to reflect this spirit too - down-to-earth, confident and full of foodie appeal.

Working with the Cornish Dairy Co. team, we developed a clear brand architecture and redesigned the entire product range, creating a packaging system that heroes each product while maintaining strong recognition across the portfolio.

Finally, we built out the wider brand world through illustration style, photography principles and campaign assets, creating tools to bring Cornish Dairy Co. to life across every touchpoint.

The result is a brand that celebrates the pride behind great dairy, inviting more people to splash, dollop or spoon a bit of Cornish gold into their everyday.
